LIS Curricula and New Skills

Yazdan Mansourian completed his PhD in 2006 in the Department of Information Studies at the University of Sheffield and took up a post as Assistant Professor in the Department of Educational Technology at Tarbiat Moallem University, Tehran, in January 2007. He has a BSc in Agricultural Engineering and Plant Breeding and an MA in Library and Information Science from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad. He worked as a reference librarian and an administrator of information services in the main library of Ferdowsi University from 1998 to 2001. He also worked as an expert on information services in the Public & International Relations Office of Mashhad municipality between 2001 and 2002. Besides publishing several articles in English and Persian, he is co-author of a book about serials management in libraries.
